Patricia S. Brewer, 75, died peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

The lifelong resident of Savannah was the daughter of the late Nicholas Elias Sanders and Rose Parker Sanders.

Patricia’s greatest joy was being Grandma to her seven grandsons and their children. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, active in the Kay Arthur Bible Study. Patricia retired as a secretary from Candler Care 65. She was a former employee of Columbia Drug Company and Candler Hospital.  

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Michael Emmett Brewer; and a sister, Caroline Faye Sanders Hohnerlein.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Orlando Vazquez; seven grandchildren, Christopher Vazquez, Bradley Vazquez, Daniel Vazquez, Caleb Vazquez, David Vazquez, Josiah Vazquez, and Isaac Vazquez; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph, and Rachel; a brother, Nicholas Elais Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
